Dermatology deals with diseases of the skin, the mucous membranes and the appendages of the skin (e.g. hair). The responsible specialist is the "specialist in skin and venereal diseases" (specialist in dermatology and venereology).

• benign and malignant tumor diseases of the skin (e.g. warts, moles, skin cancer: malignant melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma)

• Shingles (herpes zoster)
• Sexually transmitted diseases (e.g. syphilis)
• Skin grafts (e.g. after burns)
• Aesthetic dermatology (face lift, wrinkle injection)
