Wheelchair ramps, walk-in showers, widened doors - if you have to make more complex adjustments to the apartment, you should seek help from a housing advice center. The consultants usually have a better eye for necessary modifications and undiscovered sources of danger. They are usually also available for financial and organizational questions. These bodies work very closely with medical supply stores, relatives' organizations, offices and authorities. The consultation is chargeable.
The nursing care fund subsidizes each individual measure with 4,000 euros. If several people in need of care live in the same apartment, they can receive up to 16,000 euros per measure.
