The result of a corona test can also be called up with a smartphone. In order for a warning to work via the app, however, two essential details must be observed.

Those who have been tested can view the results of their corona test online and, in the event of a confirmed infection, have them activated directly in the Corona warning app. Provided you pay attention to two details.

On the one hand, they have to declare their consent to the transmission of the data in the form in the doctor's practice or in the test center of the public health service. If the checkmark in the corresponding box is not set, the test result may not be passed on from the laboratory to the Corona-Warn-App-Server. As a result, those who have been tested cannot query it via the app.

Do not use copied forms!

On the other hand, it is important: a separate QR code is generated for each person tested. You can scan it in with your smartphone after the test in order to receive the result in the app in the days after the test - to check whether the result is already available, you should open the app regularly.

In general, the notification via app only works if the document is always printed out directly from the system by the practice or the test center. However, if the document with the QR code is only copied, the same code is used several times. As a result, only the first patient is notified - all others are not.

If you want to be on the safe side, you should ask again during the test whether the document was printed out directly from the system and not just copied.

Laboratory connected to the Ssystem?

You can also find out whether the laboratory that works with the doctor or test center is even connected to the Corona warning app. If this is not the case, the notification in the app will not work either.
