Poison Information Centers
The nine poison control centers are responsible for all cases of poisoning. They have an informative and advisory role. The service is designed for laypeople, patients, doctors and medical support staff alike. You will receive the following information there around the clock:
- Whether certain substances are toxic or not.
- Whether the berries your child ate while playing are poisonous in this amount.
- Whether the grandfather's health, who took the entire daily dose of his medication at once, is threatened and whether he needs medical treatment.
- What action you need to take next: Call an emergency doctor, call the ambulance, see your family doctor the next day, have water to dilute the poisonous substance, maybe you don't need to do anything.
