The little wild boar rookie lies sparkling on Yasemin's palm: A pig made of wire and pearls - something like that is quite a tinkering even with ten healthy fingers.

Yasemin took on the handicraft work as a physiotherapy therapy program. Since the most recent surgery on her wrist, she has felt like she has become clumsier. "Fiddling around is just the thing," says Yasemin. Which model it should be, she let her followers vote on Instagram.

It has become autumn - for Yasemin this is a special time of year. The shiny chestnuts on the paths remind them of their childhood. "I can feel that feeling from back then for a moment," she says.

Yasemin Seber suffers from the very rare Proteus syndrome. Some parts of the body grow excessively and numerous tumors often form: How does she manage to maintain her courage to face life despite the setbacks? Will therapy be found that will alleviate the worst ailments? You can find out what happens next every 14 days at - or on Instagram: yasemins-verrueckte_welt. Read what has happened so far here.

"What you don't know, you don't miss it"

When she told someone that she grew up in a children's home, many of them initially imagined it to be very horrible, she reports. She didn't want anything in the home. “You don't miss what you don't know,” she says. “Sure, there were rules and they were also strict. But you were really protected there and there were many wonderful moments. "

Together with the educators, the children moved to the park, where they gathered chestnuts under the large trees. Then an entire zoo was made out of the booty: hedgehogs with toothpicks, giraffes on spiky matchstick legs. Crafting has always been Yasemin's thing.

“We experienced a lot of great things in the children's home,” she continues. Every season and every festival had its own traditions. "Those are really nice memories - and I wouldn't have them if I hadn't grown up there."

You can also collect beautiful moments

Collecting beautiful moments is one of Yasemin's great strengths. They are life rafts against the low blows in your life. Yasemin has already got used to the fact that they come regularly. “Howling doesn't help,” she says.

In the meantime she has created her own little family with her husband Dennis and the two Chihuahuas Joko and Chica. There, too, there is ample opportunity for your life collection of the beautiful moments.

Distraction against the itching

Currently, however, the nasty rash has blossomed again. He's been plaguing her ever since she was treated with the anti-cancer drug that was supposed to shrink the tumor in her throat. Even though she stopped the drug weeks ago, he again covered her legs with itchy, biting wheals. The antiallergic drug she swallows on the other hand has lost its effectiveness.

Distraction helps against the itching. Let's go to the park with the dogs. Joko is raging through the leaves. "He thinks everything that comes under his paws is great - whether mud, snow or leaves," says Yasemin.Dog lady Chica, on the other hand, is a real lady: "When she gets dirty paws, she looks at me with such a" What-should-that-please? -Look. "

Then maybe something new will be tinkered with in the evening. For a change, maybe a coronavirus in bright green? We will see.
