Spahn immediately went into domestic isolation, the message said. "So far, he has only developed cold symptoms. All contact persons are kept up-to-date." The federal cabinet does not have to be in quarantine because of this
As a government spokesman announced on Wednesday in Berlin on request, the federal cabinet does not have to be collected in quarantine. Spahn is not the first top politician in isolation

Federal Labor Minister Hubertus Heil (SPD) had already gone into quarantine on Monday because of a warning via the Corona app. Foreign Minister Heiko Maas (SPD) and Economics Minister Peter Altmaier (CDU) had also temporarily isolated themselves at the end of September. A bodyguard was also infected near Maas. Altmaier went into quarantine as a precaution because an employee of an EU minister who was present with him at a meeting of the EU trade ministers in Berlin had tested positive.
As a precautionary measure, Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU) was already in quarantine at home for almost two weeks in March because she had been vaccinated by a doctor who was found to be infected with the coronavirus shortly afterwards. (lw / dpa)
